Digital Servo Drives

Digital Servo Drives are special electronic amplifier used to power electric servo motors. Typically the command signal represents a desired velocity, but can also represent a desired torque or position.

A feedback sensor in the servo motor reports the motor's actual velocity and position back to the servo drive (closed loop control). The servo drive then compensates for the variation between demanded and actual values. Servo systems can be very dynamic without sacrificing accuracy. They are also very energy efficient.

If you have an application that you feel may benefit from implementing a closed loop servo system, please do not hesitate to contact us.
