Seidel's DIGIFAS digital AC servodrive up to 30kW
The DIGIFAS servodrives for brushless AC servomotors were one of the first direct-on-line drives available on the market, launching in 1994. The range split into two series being the DIGIFAS 7100 and lower power rated DIGIFAS 7200. The drives were typically offered together with the 6SM series of brushless synchronous servo motors which were fitted with an integrated resolvers.
Over 20 years on we can still support customers on the drives, with in-house testing, parameter capture, set-up, commissioning and servicing. We also carry some refurbished drives on stock for quick assistance.

The DOS based operator software made it possible to service and parameterise the amplifier over the Printer Port (parallel) or the proprietary Serial Comms. The serial comms requires a powered converter, making it usable with a PC running DOS / early WINDOWS with RS232 post. There was an optional "built-in" 3-key user interface with LC display available, enabling direct operation of the amplifier.
Highlights
- Connected load 1.8 to 30kVA
- Runs directly off 400V mains
- The DC-link circuit is bus-compatible, i.e. power can be distributed to several devices.
- Analog setpoint (resolution 1 mV) with Incremental or synchronous-serial position output with variable resolution
- 4 CONNECT variants with integrated position control
- Internal ballast resistor, capacity increase possible via external ballast resistor
- Motor brake control
CE- conformity
Digifas™ meets all relevant standards:
- EMC Directive 89/336/EWG
- Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EWG
Interface variants (Connect variants)
- Analog setpoint interface with ROD/SSI position output
- BIT CONNECT - SPS with integrated position control
- PULSE CONNECT - STEP with integrated secondary position control
- CAN CONNECT - CAN with integrated position control
Options
- 3-key operation and alphanumeric LC display
