Kollmorgen-Seidel Servostar 600 AC digital servodrive up to 50kW

Servostar 600 digital servo drive
Ther Servostar 600 series drives is available in sizes 601, 603, 606, 610, 614, 620, 640 and 670.

Despite the age of the SERVOSTAR® 600 series of servo amplifiers, they are still proving themselves very reliable and functional, making use of the advantages of digital technology.

Since their launch back in the late '90s we have implemented the Servostar 600 drives on a wide range of applications, from simple positioning tasks to high accuracy synchronisation and gearing. Applications have included machine tools, printing, converting, handling, textiles, food, medical and metrology.

As we have implemented many Servostar 600 drives over the years, we have built up a large amount of knowledge and expertise on them and are able to provide support in terms of set-up and commissioning assistance, servicing, repairs and upgrades.

  • Operation with 2 keys on the amplifier
  • Status monitoring via LED display
  • Up to 20 Amps suitable for 300mm switchgear cabinets

Standard equipment

  • Interface integrated for stepper controllers, master-slave operation, electr. gear
  • CANopen integrated (overview PDOs), (Link to the CiA : CAN in AUTOMATION International Users and Manufacturers Group e.V.)
  • Integrated position controller with memory for 180 motion tasks

Intelligent positioning

  • Speed profiles
  • Register control
  • Jolt limiting
  • Daisy chained tasks
  • Absolute and relative tasks
  • Several types of reference traverses
  • Encoder emulation choose incremental (ROD426, dec./bin.) or absolute (SSI, Gray/bin.)
  • Feedback from resolver or high resolution sine-cosine encoder

SERVOSTAR® meets all relevant standards :

  • EMC Directive 89/336/EWG
  • Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EWG
  • CE
  • UL / cUL

Options and expansion cards
SERVOSTAR® has an open hardware and software architecture. Thanks to that, the amplifier is ready for nearly all conceivable customer specific modifications and fieldbus interfaces :

  • PROFIBUS DP (optional)
  • SERCOS-Interface (optional)
  • DeviceNet (optional), ODVA conformance tested
  • Ethernet (optional)
  • I/O-extension board (optional)
  • Option -AS- (restart lock for personnel safety), standard for 640/670

High resolution motion tasks
The integrated encoder interface makes it possible to connect a high resolution single or
multi-turn sine-cosine encoder as feedback unit directly to the amplifier.

Completely digital control
The digital current controller (space vector PWM, 62.5µs), the programmable digital speed controller (62,5µs) and the integrated position controller (adaptable to nearly every motion task) are highlights of innovation in digital control technology.
