There is lots of info on older components at motec.co.uk

motec old site

Our old web site, motec.co.uk, is still online and contains masses of information on all the products, from our many suppliers, that we have sold over the decades. It has been described by some as a goldmine of information on older products and components. The site is very much alive and in continual use as a subdivision of our new site, controlinmotion.com, where you'll find all the very latest in automation and motion-control technology.

We have never removed any product information from motec.co.uk and so you'll find all the original entries, with downloadable product information from the original manufacturers! It's useful for companies that are still operating older technology but may no longer have the user manuals and product literature that came when it was new.

All the original information is still there, and what's more, you'll find that many of the products are still supported. In fact, we go out of our way to try and keep older technology operational when there's nothing wrong with it and when it doesn't really need upgrading.

Sometimes though, depending on the circumstances, it's worth upgrading to something newer, but it isn't always necessary to upgrade to the very latest digital technology. For instance, an old analogue drive could be upgraded to the next analogue version of the same product, long before it might be necessary to upgrade to digital. There could be lots of reasons why you might need information on older products, and when you do a good place to start is motec.co.uk
