MachineBuilding.net has produced a summary of the changes and additions to the list of Machinery Directive Harmonised Standards published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) on 11 July 2014.

According to MachineBuilding.net, this time there have been no alterations to the A-Type or B-Type machinery safety standards, just C-Type standards relating to specific classes of machinery.

New and updated C-Type Harmonised Standards include those covering packaging machines, industrial trucks, earth-moving machinery, internal blinds, personal care robots, highway maintenance machines, cranes, and turntable ladders for fire and rescue appliances.
