LTi Drives, formerly Lust Industries, and Lenord+Bauer have both announced products that will be discontinued from the end of September 2011. After 20 years LTi is discontinuing its VF1000S and ED1200 inverter drives, although final orders can be placed until 30 September with deliveries running until December. The discontinued drives have been replaced by LTi’s c-line range.

Similarly Lenord+Bauer have announced plans to discontinue the GEL 150 series absolute encoders and the GEL 170 series absolute linear scales. Also to be discontinued is the GEL 8100 (EcoController) and associated products such as the GEL 8810 operator panels, interface and I/O modules.

In addition some of the GEL 8200 series controllers, in particular the GEL 8235, 8236, 8245 and 8246 will also become obsolete. The discontinued lines are as a result of new product developments and dwindling orders for some of the older units. Final orders can be placed up to the end of September.
